A cute little display of Central Finnish customs, living, clothing, a bit of art, and also a small shop. I would just like an audioguide or something, to make the tour a bit more interesting.

I was interested to find out about the history of Finland and how people lived from the 19th century. They change the exhibition often.

This is a fine museum to visit if you are in the area - but it's probably fair to say it's not a major attraction. If you are visiting the Alvar Alto museum next door, it doesn't hurt to have a quick look, though, particularly...More

Thank you for your feedback. We like to see our museum as a nice guide to history of Jyväskylä and history of Central Finland. We also have art exhibitions. But our museum building (designed by Alvar Aalto) and our basic exhibitions are old. And that`s...More

Brilliant! A must. Very informative with plenty to see and study. I would recommend at least half a day there. However, more English translations would be nice.
