This is one of the off beat activities to do in Iceland. We found the tour through Tripadvisor and had our Reykjavik hotel concierge connect with Sibba to schedule the time. It was quite convenient to do so. The tour offers a hotel pick up and drop as well at a price. The tour is not for everyone - if... More

Sorry, folks but I have to disagree with most of the reviews here. We took this tour because it was recommended in Fodor's guidebook, but it is not worth the money. It costs close to $ 40. For that you get about an hour's worth of Sibba's time, much of which is spent in walking around the neighborhood and has... More

This tour was so much fun. My wife and I enjoyed a solo tour with Sibba as she took us through the various locations in Hafnarfjordur with a history of folklore. She's super personable and nice, and keeps even a party of three from becoming awkward. I would definitely recommend. You can easily get here and back via bus from... More

As are many locations in Iceland, it was not well marked from the road. When we inquired about the Krýsuvík Geothermal Area they did not know anything or have any brochures. We were directed to this info center specifically because they were to have lots of info about Krýsuvík. The person we spoke with did not have much of an... More

Sibba is a wonderful spinner of tales, and she told us about the legends of the hidden people, her life growing up in Iceland, and stories about the town. The walk meanders around a typical neighborhood, with stops for stories relating to the houses we pass. The best part by far was Hellisgerdi Park, which is delightful whether or not... More

The hidden folk are part of Icelandic culture. Believe in it or not, this is a very nice walk through a quaint neighbourhood, and a beautiful picturesque park while listening to Icelandic folk tales and stories. We emailed them in advance of our trip to see if they would take our group of 4. Our guide was kind enough to... More

I contacted Sibba via e-mail and we agreed on the details, she was flexible and she even re-scheduled our meeting due to the changes of my plan. It was great spent time with Sibba - a guide. Her English is very, very good. She has a good talent for story telling. It is very interesting to listen to all amazing... More

It was a complete pleasure to spend 1.5 hours with Elisabet walking and talking together in Hafnarfjörður. She is a true storyteller and if you are interested in the Hidden Folk you will not be disappointed. It was a cold day and blustery but Elisabet kept us moving and engaged every step of the way. We not only learned about... More

The Hidden Worlds tour is a really fun thing to do if you're interested in the 'elf lore' of Iceland. The tours probably vary day by day but my group got a great amount of information on how the belief in elves and hidden people played a part in local history. It's a great way to see a different side... More

The Icelandic have a firm believe in the existence of elves, dwarfs, gnoes, fairies and other kinds of mystical beings. Hafnarfjörður is considered to be the largest settlement of the huldufólk in Iceland. These locations are scattered all over the town and the surrounding lavafield. To know the exact place of these beings, they asked for the service of Erla... More
