I've only been snorkeling once in my life but nothing compares to this dive. This is cold water but Steve my instructor explained everything very well. It was incredible view the water was so clear and tasted like no other kind of water. I would do it all over again.

My 17- yr. old daughter, Lauren, and I had quite the adventure today as we went cold water snorkeling in the fissure between the Tectonic plates. It took us about an hoyr to fet suited up with a puffy snowsuit- like coverall , followed by a Neoprene dry suit with attached rubber boots. Then our heads were covered with a... More

Recent trip to Iceland included a chance to dive in Silfra. Dive Iceland could not have done a better job. Right on time for pickup directly from our guesthouse. Equipment was well maintained along with instructions and help with the drysuits. We the tour earlier in the day that resulted in our party being the only ones diving at the... More

I chose to snorkel the Silfra trip rather than dive it. They say they are changing the rules on diving on March 15th 2017 to where you don't need a drysuit certification. The snorkel trip is the same as the dive trip. 25 minutes seeing the same things, you just can't dive down, which you are not missing much as... More

Hedinn made this experience hands down the best thing I could ever imagine! He was very thorough with the dive site, dive briefing, and overall Icelandic history. Even with the snow on the ground and near freezing temperatures outside Hedinn made my girlfriend and I very comfortable. This is truly one of the top dive destinations on the planet and... More

This was my 3rd dive ever and confess I was nervous. I don't generally like the cold and have heard horror stories about dry suits. Regardless, my husband and I were excited to try Silfra. We read a bunch of reviews and visited various websites and found ourselves most comfortable with diveiceland.com. Hedinn was our dive master and didn't disappoint.... More

It's really hard to enjoy a dive when you're freezing in -4 degrees, but these guys actually made it possible. Thanks so much for the awesome dive!

Hedinn is just amazing! He takes good care of all his customers and deals with smaller groups for a more personalised experience. Would highly highly recommend him 1. It was my first time diving in a dry suit and the briefing was good 2. I had trouble with my buoyancy but Hedinn helped me through the dive 3. It's cold... More

Hedinn is the go to guy for diving Silfra, tons of experience after 16 years of guiding/teaching at this site. The site speaks for itself, DiveIcelands attention to detail was great though. Tailor made to suit our small group (2pax) we were first in the water and had it all to ourselves. Gear all in good condition, and no hidden... More

Hedinn gave us a great dive of Silfra. None of us had dove in dry suits before but the briefing was sufficient to makes us feel comfortable and prepared. We chose to do the 1 longer dive to avoid getting out of the water and back in. The water and air are extremely cold this time of year but the... More
