We stopped here on the way to Husafell. The walk was a nice way to stretch one's legs. The falls are not big but very pleasant and there was plenty of parking on the June day we stopped here, even with two buses. Definitely worth...More

We have seen dozens of waterfalls in Iceland, but this one was different. It seemed to coming out of a lava wall. There are walkways and paths throughout the area that make it easy to view the "falls" from different directions. It is definitely worth...More

Hraunfossar : water fall, in true sense it is water flowing . It is a series of small waterfalls, hardly 2 meter high at some places but spread over ce of about 900 metres. This is flowing thro' Hallmundarhraun, a lava field which flowed from...More

Nice stop for photos and a place to stretch your legs. Path is easy and accessible to everyone. The rapids were interesting. There is a restaurant very close although we didn't try it

Kind of unique in the falls category in Iceland. The falls are actually water pouring out of a river bank wall about the length of 2 football pitches. Cool view for a quick stop, but not a must see.

I knew Iceland was full of waterfalls and geological features but this actually took my breath away. We could have sat and stared at the vista all day - the noise was so loud and yet so calming and mesmerising.

Hraunfossar is unique and beautiful, and has a newer well maintained easy trail system the runs through the park. Especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves change! Parking: Average size lot. I have heard of issues with parking here - so check out regulations...More

This stop is beautiful, but the parking fee that is being collected by some shady characters, who are obviously not Icelandic, takes away from the experience. They were rude and demanded we pay with credit card only. We refused and told them we only had...More
