Iceland has lots of waterfalls, and by the time you come here you may have been multiple falls already...but this one is unique. It's a bunch of little waterfalls coming out of lava holes and converging into one waterfall. Definitely a great place to take...More

I think the thing I liked most about Hraunfossar is that because it's so far off the main tourist routes there weren't very many people there, which is probably just as well as the car park isn't massive, but it is a very convenient one...More

Many small waterfalls stream into a big river. They come from a lava at the other side. I´ve been there both in winter and summer and both is amacing.

A cool waterfall that flows out through a porpos lava cliff wall to join the Hvita river below. An easy walk to get to the falls and a good chance to walk to the Barnafoss falls upstream.

To see the water flowing, not from on top of the rock shelf, but from a layer half way down it was very"trippy." I had never seen anything like it. It's beauty put me in a sate of Awe.

The water below the falls was a lovely turquoise. The waterfall comes out of the cliff along the river. So it spreads out. It is very beautiful.

This was our last waterfall on a 7 day drive throughout Iceland and I would say our least favorite. It is no doubt unique but not all that impressive and would recommend if you have limited time to spend at other falls such as Godafoss...More

It's strange to see a waterfall that doesn't come off a river or lake. This is rain and snow that seeps its way out of the lava field. Nice walking paths on both sides and across a gorge. The landscape in this valley is stunning...More

These waterfalls come out of the lava. They extend for about an mile. There is parking across for the falls and well set out trails to the view points. There are pay toilets and a restaurant at the location. Definitely worth the visit

I did this almost that exact trip (we didn't do the crater, but we did Grimsey Island) and found ten days was perfect. Although we did this beginning the first week of June, 2017. I would be very worried about road... More

A toddler is better off on a self tour, mine got irritable at unpredictable intervals for diaper change, walk, etcetera.
