The SUn Voyager is a water front sculpture that is free to visit. You can get there by walking down from old town, taking a taxi or briefly parking your rental car nearby. It is free to see. It can be seen from the Hallgrimskirkja....More

I had to rate this site as excellent purely on the basis that it was free of charge (a rarity in Iceland). Unless you wish to consider remortgaging your property I'd try elsewhere!

Really beautiful scenery and great view to coast. Near Harpa. You can take a good pictures in here and then go along the cost for a walk.

Reykjavik has plenty of open air art but this one is just so beautiful sitting by the water. I recommend coming by earlier in the day if you want solo shots because crowding tends to happen in the afternoon. Free and beautiful.

This sculpture really sets off the views over the water. Blue skies, grey skies, green hills snowy hills - the sculpture looks great set against any backdrop.

We loved this beautiful sculpture on the bay. It is only a couple of minutes from the Harpa, along a bike/walking trail and the Hallgrimskirkja is only another 10 minutes or so, making for a nice little walk.

Interesting sculpture on the shore looking out at snow covered mountains. Lights up nicely at sunset.

I liked it - the piece of art, I liked the shape and somehow I could recognize the old Nordic pattern. I liked the place and the view over the harbour.

That´s not true. In December in Reykjavik you have at least 4 hours of light. You can go to the page timeanddate, and check there the sunrises and the sunsets. Hope it help you.
