Interesting man-made beach. Ok to visit if you have the time. But unless you're there for the free geothermal baths, not a lot to really see. There are two hot water areas -- a long hot tub in front of the changing/steam rooms, and a...More

Fabulous place, we love a cold sea swim so, during our recent family trip, we thought we'd head here. Yes it was late October but I was assured that the geothermal vent in the lagoon raises the sea temp a bit - but that's it.....More

Visited this place to see what it was about and observed people torturing themselves by swimming around the bay, entering the water looking relatively normal and exiting looking like they had been boiled in oil - although really they were frozen stiff. They could then...More

We walked along the coastal path to this beach, planning to use the geothermal bath. On arriving the place was desolate, no one or no activity. On walking and looking closer on a door at the back of the beach. A notice said it was...More

The concierge was very nice to point out places on the maps. After dinner, my son and I headed left (opposite downtown) and enjoyed a 15 to 20 minute leisurely walk, taking photos and the weather and happy to find this beach. It was cold...More

We walked from our hotel to the beach, might be better to drive or take the bus, but it was worth the trek for this free experience. The beach has a geothermal pool and the water by the beach is also supposed to be geothermal...More

Stopped here and had a nice picnic. Pretty place and lots of locals seemed to be enjoying the beach and soaking. Some neat statutes nearby. Our guide told us the sand was brought in from Morocco.

this is a nice place with an imported sand beach. You can walk down and stick your feet in the water, if you want.

Small ankle deep pool, as well as hot tub, beach, and steam room! Well worth the couple bucks you have to pay to get into! Don't forget you are in Iceland and the beach isn't going to be warm!

We thought that this was a warm water beach and it's not. However it was nice to visit. It is a beach and there is a hot tub. Nice for a walk. Free parking and free in the summer form what I can gather.

They can accommodate small bags but there no real room for full size luggage. Check the hours of operation as they are limited and the facilities are quite small. Cheers
