We were unable to get inside Hallgrimskirkja last time we were in Reykjavik, so were pleased to get a second opportunity on this return visit. The architecture is impressive and it is worth going up the tower for the views over the city. A short...More

This church feels quite futuristic and ahead of its years. It rises unexpectedly out of the everyday urban landscape that sounds it. We even got to enjoy a few gospel singers out front whilst we made hay taking holiday snaps. Fabulous architecture, well worthy of...More

Very sober church. The view from the top over Reykjavik is nice and they have a large organ. The outside is more special than the inside.

Minimalist in a way you won't see anywhere in the world. Be sure to spend the $8 to go up the tower and take a photo and get a good view of Reykjavik.

This church is an impressive building which is open to visitors at no charge. The interior is very plain but flooded with light. I wish I had been there when there was an organ recital. You can climb the tower for a small charge and...More

this is the tallest structure in Reykjavik (244m); take the time to get to the top for an amazing view. The interior has to be the 'starkest' I have ever seen. But at the same time the lack of decorations or stained windows are quite...More

You can't get the ticket to the top in advance, but you likely wouldn't need to anyway. We didn't have to wait at all. It was quick, easy, and an amazing experience!
