Travel by lift to top to see amazing sites over the city, church is very basic but beautiful and contains information on its history. The organ pipes are stunning

We were lucky to visit while an organist was playing. The church is very pretty and the attention to detail in the work is beautiful.

My friend and I visited Hallgrimskirkja twice in October. The first time was at night with the church all lighted up. It's truly a remarkable sight to see at night. We then returned a couple days later during the daytime when we had some free time and we're glad we did return. The inside is amazing, especially the organ and... More

A must and a great traditional Iceland restaurant across the street. One of the few inexpensive things to do in Iceland.

We didn't go inside as we arrived to late on a cold December evening, but definitely worth popping bye just to see the amazingly unique architecture.

Hallgrimskirkja is built on the top of a hill in the center of Reykjavik. You can its steeple from far and wide. The design is striking and made to reflect some of the natural features found on the beaches near Via on the south coast. The history of the church is interesting: commissioned prior to WWII, construction was delayed until... More

It was very interesting and I'd recommend stopping by. It is a landmark in Reykjavik and people use it for giving directions all the time

Beautiful inside and out, take time to go up the tower. Try and catch a service when the grand organ is played.
