The opera house consists of 2 large glass and steel boxes on the waterfront in Reykjavik and can be seen from many parts of Iceland's capital city. Very very different architecture from unique Reykjavik and very refreshing to see this ultra modern structure forming part...More

This is a rather nice looking building. Finished just before the crack of 08, the opera stands as an monument of the once red hot economy of Iceland. I have never been to one of the shows, but when i was wandering around the building,...More

Beautiful building, big enough to spend half a day exploring and wandering around. Views of Iceland are great from any floor, interesting architecture and near the city (walking distance from most hotels in Reykjavik city centre). Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Strange looking building. We went in to have a look, wandered around for a little while taking in harbour views and the gift shop. It is a huge building used for concerts etc.

Very pretty, modern and architecturally superb building on the waterfront. Very modern design but fits into the landscape. Didn't see any shows but toilets nice.

We just walked in and strolled around and in doing so we were treeted to extraordinary delights as each corner we turned. I think, like a kaleidoscope, each visit will be unique and exciting in its own right.

The building is very cool and at night it does this undulating light show on the outside of the building. It reminds me a bit of the northern lights. It's worth watching as you walk around the city.

It's well worth a look at the building and it's interior . Views from the upper floor are amazing , where you get to see distant snow covered mountains , the harbour frontage and modern infrastructure being built .
