The view of the lake ( The pond ) with city hall building. Nice to walk around enjoying the view , the weather and the ducks in the lake.

Great place to stop and relax for a bit. The pond is beautiful with many ducks and swans that are very friendly. The building itself is very interesting with plenty of visitor information available.

I went just a walk to see the building and the lake around it. If you have free time then go for it. Or else skip it.

This was a very nice place to rest and view the giant topographical map of Iceland. The main attraction for me was the free restrooms in a city that tends to charge $2-3 for most restrooms.

This is a useful place to visit in Reykjavik. There is a tourist info centre here, and an interesting 3D map of Iceland. There is also good free wifi. It is in a nice position on the lake.

The City Hall is more of an exhibit space. I'm guessing that there are municipal offices somewhere in the building but they are not obvious. There are history and art exhibits and an impressing topographic map of the country that dominates the center section. There...More

Pretty architecture located on Lake Tjornin (The Pond). Central location in Old Reykjavik. Extensive Tourist Information Center located on first level.
