We chanced upon this, and were taken with the layout, the animals and birds allowed to roam around at will, and the care that was being taken to look after it. An island of tranquillity, if you even need this in Reykjavik. Well worth a...More

We spent a lovely hour wandering around the botanical gardens as a respite from the hustle and bustle of tourist-engorged Reykjavik. There were many flowers blooming, the gardens are well laid out, and the parking was free. If you need a break from the crowds,...More

I walked round the park and botanical gardens with my husband on a glorious sunny day. It was lovely. The hidden gem here is definitely the Flora Cafe - gorgeous food in a serenely calm setting. And always vegan soup! Also, for Reykjavik, not expensive.

Do not miss a visit to this park with or without children. It is great and possibly unexpected as it is in the middle of Reykjavik.

This is a lovely botanical garden that's great to pass a few hours walking around and as a bonus it's free to enter.

This is a good afternoon out. Lots of plants and places to walk and somewhere you can go for a drink and something to eat. It's free too.

Free Garden. Beautiful! Has a cute hidden hut. We saw a duck and ducklings sitting by the pond. Very nice picture spot.

I love botanical gardens. This one gives you a nice stroll. It seems like they are expanding the area as some parts didn't have much growing yet.

This is a very large open space in the city and great for a relaxing stroll. The Botanic Garden is the best we have seen for identifying their plants. In fact, the labelling was almost too much . The cafe shop was a pretty spot...More

I think that prices are very reasonable. I have heard that it was much more expensive in past times.
