A great find off the main street.
A great place to enjoy some drinks and get out of the cold for a while. This was one of the most pub like places we found in Reykjavík, it was cosy, served a good selection of drinks and the staff were very friendly. Would recommend.

    Great little cosy bar
Visited this bar as it was highly rated on trip advisor. Was not disappointed it has a lovely cosy feel with relaxing decor and lighting. The staff were friendly and although weren’t able to give me a drinks menu at the time said they would make anything that we wanted and had a good selection of beers that were nice. Low background music so you can have a conversation and felt very comfy with lots of snug areas so you feel like your in your own little spot. 🍺 🍷 🍸

    A must for Gin people
I love Gin, so Kalda Bar was a must stop for me. Upon entering, there is a wonderful speak-easy like atmosphere. The bartender asked what kind of drink I wanted and proceeded to make what is easily the best gin cocktail I've ever had. I had to order another. It was so refreshing with mint, cucumbers, and lime, which melded into the perfect drink.

After we entered the bar, despite our repeated eye contact, the staff ignored us (I was sure that he was aware of us), and to top it off, when he walked past us, he ignored us even though we said Hello and try to ask.

Was it discrimination? racism? I felt very uncomfortable.

We were very surprised and left the bar because we have never had this kind of thing done to us in any other store in Iceland.

I don't want to drink in a place that discriminates against people.

Don’t miss this excellent bar! We stopped in every afternoon of our 3-day trip as it was near our hotel and had a great happy hour. Cozy and full of locals and visitors. Recommended!

We loved it! We accidently walked in - because of the Gin room sign, but it turned out to be the best place to be. Cosy - nice beers on draught and different GT's.

Funky wee bar off the main street in Reykjavik city centre. Really cool decor.

Plenty of beer choice. Deceptively spacious.

Great gin! I will be back. I wish I was feeling better that night! Tried a sip of three of the most popular gin and tonic drinks. They were fantastic!

Coolest bar in Reykjavik. A classy joint that feels welcoming to all. Whether you want a craft pint or a fancy cocktail, this is the place. The outdoor area is spacious and has cool graffiti. The staff are friendly, international and diverse. You should go here during your stay in the city.
