Wonderful Basilica built over a small shrine after a declared miracle. Visited by the Pope. Magnificent interior, but presently has major external renovation works ongoing.

Although work is being done in April it was easy access. We enjoyed experiencing the devout worshippers and seeing the beautiful church interior. The tributes which claimed healing and help from Mary have to be seen!

Gozo has so many churches yet Ta Pinu remains one of the most famous and most visited. It holds the status of minor Basilica and is properly known as The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta Pinu. It is located on the edge of cliffs in the beautiful countryside close to Gharb and can be... More

A really impressive church and grand on the inside. There was a lot of construction going on outside the church when we visited. Well worth a visit!

I really did not understand the hype about this basilica. It stands in a pretty area. But after all the churches and cathedrals of Malta ... this is nothing for me. I liked the one in Nadur much better at this point I am churched out .

I do not think that anyone who go to Gozo and not visit the Shrine, what ever Religion you are, it,s a must. The devotion is incredible in the Church itself, and the temple is beautiful, Yesterday 11.15 am mass was as full as could be and you could hear a pin drop, during mass. I recommend it to all... Ta pinu is one of Gozo's sacred shirnes. When one visit this place he feels that internal happiness. The place is so sacred that even a whisper is out of place.

I have seen the cathedral only from the outsite. It's beautiful. We had a quick stop with the bus, took some pictures and moved on to Dwejra Bay
