If you do one of the bus tours, definitely stop and see the Citadel. they have restored a lot of this old city. It does not take long to look around, maybe 10 minutes. The views from the top are worthwhile.

Wow, great views, possibly even better at night than during the day. One tip is to take water with you.

Situated in the heart of Victoria, it is so nice to see that the gozitans have restored/preserved this beautiful area. This is a free attraction and a must visit if you are in Victoria, if not just for the 360 degree views of gozo. It...More

We should have allowed more time to visit The Citadel! Even though we had read about the walls and cathedral we didn’t realise there was so much more. I would suggest 2-3 hours if you want to visit a number of the museums etc. We...More

The citadel is a must see but get there early to avoid the crowds (and the hot sun). It's free to visit but you have to pay if you want to visit any of the museums there. There is a concession for over 60s and...More

Glorious citadel, fantastic to see EU money spent so wisely. Go early am, and then go back at night, amazing.

Start your tour at the impressive and immersive Visitor's Centre before journeying back in time to how Gozo used to be. Highlights include the interactive displays in the Visitor's Centre (even if the feature about the Sicilian man who killed his family before a hero's...More

Fascinating complex buildings. Check out restaurants high within the citadel. I wouldn't want to visit in high summer - not much shelter.

I loved the Citadel, walked all around the base and up top, fantastic views, going back in time. Some parts were closed for renovation but this was still a good day out

Really nice place that you have to visit when in Gozo. You have a 360° view around the island. The entrance to the citadel is free but I will recommend to visit the old prison as well. Really nice to see the history of Victoria.

There's a small car park at the top of the hill next to the wall, very close to the entrance. We paid around 2€ for as long as we wanted.

Reference should be ok but check with the agent. He should have given you a phone number. Or ask your hotel to check.
