Fishmerman city with vividly colorful boats. Cool to see it. On the other hand, buildings are having old facades, looking rather not clean and worn out. Nothing to see in the city, I would recommend it for good fish meal during evening or as for...More

Marsaxlokk is a lovely picturesque fishing village to visit. It is situated in the south of the island, a good few miles away from the main tourist areas which are located up towards the north of the island. Normally always a busy place with tourists...More

We loved this little fishing village. The skyline is amazing. So many stalls there if you want to buy souvenirs, or just have a look. There's an ice-cream van there, and they have the BEST soft serve ice-cream. Amazing photo ops along the water. Plenty...More

Despite being praised by tourists and locals alike for its traditional character the bay loses its charm by the gas terminal which is located across the bay. All in all is not even the best place to enjoy seafood.

I decided to treat myself to a taxi from St Julien to Marsaxlokk, reception agreed with driver at 25 E and 24 minutes. Alternative would have been 2 busses at a total of 4 E but 90 minutes. The market (on Sundays) was great! Right...More

My husband and I had a ship excursion that stopped off in marsaxlokk. It is a small village on the water with many boats and market stalls. We had an interesting short walk through the Main Street and found some inexpensive souvenirs to buy. This...More

Hi Bobbles1 Its only a small town and once the market has closed and the tourists have gone, I think it would be very quiet! Apart from the restaurants and walking around the bay, there doesn't appear to be much else to do... More
