I haven't been to many Cathedrals, but was certainly impressed by this one. Undergoing some external renovations at the moment, but the front view and inside are not spoilt by this. €5 each gets you entrance to both the Cathedral and also the Museum opposite. Very reasonable indeed.

Nice place! This is the main church of Mdina, an exquisite Maltese architectural masterpiece! Beautiful foul frescos, icons, marble floors and amazing altar.

After passing thru the main gate one see the cathedral. The outside architecture is beautiful and invites you in.

A beautiful Cathedral with a lovely peaceful atmosphere. You have to admire the skill of the craftsmen who built and decorated it.

Commonly known as St. Paul's cathedral is the main attraction of the walled city of Mdina, located in the middle of the fortified city. The cathedral towers above all the surrounding structures. Its baroque design was built using the special stone which could only be found in Malta, painted inside by intricate frescoes in the walls and ceilings and decorated... More

This is a wonderfully peaceful place to go, the decoration not quite as ornate as St Johns in Valletta, but better for it. The ticket price also included entry to the museum, which we hadn't wanted to go into, so the entry price did seem at bit steep. However, again, well worth a visit

The cathedral is lovely inside with beautiful painted ceilings. 5 euros to go in there and the associated museum.

Worth a look around, had to pay 10 euro each which included the visit to the small museum attached which we were told we had to visit as part of the entry. Not sure this was correct as saw sign on entering Cathedral saying 5 euro. Pricing was over the top and you should not have to pay to enter... More

Whenever we go to Rabat, we make it a point to visit Mdina which was Malta's old city. The architecture is medieval. Needless to say, there are no words to express the splendor and majestic Metropolitan Cathedral which is worth viewing.
