Unbearable stench in a windowless bathroom. Bad surprise. No refund despite the circumstances. Don't bother with this vacation rental. There are hundreds of much better offers nearby.

This theatre is one of the oldest in Europe, and has splendid to match the best ones. Exterior it's nothing special to look at, as are majority of buildings in Malta, but interior is splendid. At least it appears so in official book of the theatre, as the theatre itself is closed until November due to renovation works and installation... More

this was my favourite tour here on valletta. the theatre is the 3rd oldest in the world and is very interesting with the audio guide that takes you through the points and rooms with different anecdotes. there are old costumes, posters, sound machines, and the main theatre itself is of outstanding beauty, it takes about 20mins to go around and... Paid €5 each for an audio guide of this theatre. The audio was boring in the extreme and although the theatre auditorium is interesting to look at they should not be charging this extortionate fee. The whole experience lasted around 20 minutes and was a complete waste of time and money. Don't bother!

We were lucky enough to be told about the free tour before going to Malta. We booked two of the thirty free places, which turned out to be a wonderful tour led by Malcolm, a famous actor/director and contributes to The Edinburgh Fringe. He showed us all the areas used to produce the productions. From backstage, costume department, trap door, the... More

Yesterday we attended the Free Tour of the Manoel Theatre on the occasion of Theatre Day. It was a very interesting experience during which we accessed areas which are normally closed to the public. I believe this is a very good way of promoting our cultural heritage, especially among future generations - our kids enjoyed it immensely. Keep up such... More

I feel lucky to be Maltese as I can enjoy this gem of a theatre every now and then with so many good performances which take place at the Manoel. Some days ago I went to see 'Le Nozze Di Figaro'. Well done to all involved but a special thanks and thumbs up goes to the persons responsible for the... More

Actually we had not seen this theatre mentioned anyway -- a shame. It is definitely worth the visit. It tells the story of theatre, opera, etc in the heart of Valetta. One can use hand-held listening devices to capture all the occurred. I was very impressed with the theatre itself and the possibilities one has of lengthening the stage, converting... More

Beautiful atmospheric little place, more of an architectural gem than just for theatre or concert buffs. Very old and cute. Audio tour good too.
