The castle is a quite simple building well maintained and with very nice views over the sea. It keeps some canyons and a very small collection of old pictures and other objects. It makes for a nice short visit to enjoy the views from above the sea.

You can walk around the castle garden, see the old stone decorations around the area and so on. There is also a small museum one floor up that gives you a bit more information. You can walk through pretty fast but I think it is still worth a visit if you are nearby.

This is a really small fort with a clearing in the middle and some rooms with old slabs and sculptures. The clearing has a few cannons that make for a good photo. The highlight of the place is the upper observation deck that looks over at the beach.

Originally built during the Middle Ages, the Fort took its present form during Ottoman rule. After the end of the Ottoman rule in Cyprus, the British converted it into a prison during the first years of their rule. Today the Fort houses the District Medieval Museum, whose collection covers 15 centuries of history, from early Christian period to the 19th century.The... More

It is old and quaint but really small. On par with Fort Cornwallis in Penang. I wonder if these tiny forts were anything other than symbolic. Still a nice old joint with real history.

I went in here with an open mind and was pleasantly surprised how well preserved the castle is ., you don't see it all as the rest is under the road but I was surprised at some of the graves that are on show., there are 3 German cannons that are under a shelter (through the entrance) and on the... A walk along the board walk in Larnaka City leads you to the castle. Unfortunately for me I was there on a cool afternoon and all the doors were shut. If you have visited some of the other castles in the area this may not seem so significant. However great to see some sights and history while roaming about.

The castle is small but you can see the reminders left by the various powers that have occupied the island through the years. At €2.50 the cost is very reasonable as well. I wouldn't describe the castle as unmissable, but it is very interesting.
