Set over an important mausoleum, this beautiful mosque is set on the edge of the Salt Lake and within a picturesque palm grove. It's open to the public and the worshippers there were very friendly. Next door is an abandoned building with a ridiculous cat colony.

Islam's 6th most holy site, mosque commemorating the passing of Umm Haram Bint Milhan, though what happened to her donkey is uncertain. Be aware that the mosque is back in use as a place of worship, whereas it was more of a museum in the recent past. Most of the time you are welcome to wander freely; be sure to... More

I may be unjust regarding this mosque, being that I have seen many magnificent ones. This one is nothing special in size or decoration. But its location is unique. It is situated beside the Larnaka salt lake, inhabited by flocks of flamingos. And one more curiosity about it: When we were there last month, there were numerous cats of all... More

An ancient place with lot of history and a very good vibe. The place is very quiet and calm. The surrounding garden is very nice and the road to the mosque comes by the salt lake which is itself another attraction.

A good location and would recommend walking around the salt lake. The ancient settlement had little information to offer and I left no wiser why or by whom this site was occupied. A mosque is a mosque. Far too many feral cats occupy the site . Very little facilities, ice cream van and a nut seller. Not a good trip... More

I'd never been inside a mosque before so, a new experience for me. A small ancient ruin had been preserved in the grounds. A peaceful and tranquil place.
