One of the finest historical places of Cyprus. Half an hour drive from Limassol Tourist area and 45 minutes from Pafos. When the Lusignians lost their kingdom of Jerusalem to the Arabs, they bought Cyprus from Richard the Lionheart. In 1210, the fief was transferred to...More

Nice 45 minute stop. nicely done with access to all 3 floors. It was great that they had used this fabulous construction as a place for a local artist art installation. It was a nice contras of history and the contemporary interpretation of history. Nice...More

Beautiful castle and cheap entrance fee (€2.50) unspoilt and well maintained. Make sure you go to Theo's next door for a bite to eat- lovely!! All in all a lovely couple of hours visit.

There is an entrance fee to enter of €2:50. It be better to take the seasonal access that can give you entrance to all historical sites in cyprus. Don't pay at every ancient location. Entering the place I was disappointed as the rooms are bare...More

An interesting historic castle beautifully restored. Well worth visiting if out and about. There was an art exhibition on when we visited.

Second time we have visited Kolossi Castle. It is one of our favourites to visit when in Cyprus. Set in relatively small grounds it is a beautifully maintained example of it's type, well looked after and a great place to visit.

The castle is authentic and nice. You can check it all really quickly. Cheap tickets(2.5 euros per person). On our turn the sugarmill was closed.

Very imposing, good history but without a guide one would be lost - there is insufficent signage explaining the historical signifiance of the place.
