If there is an exhibition of interest its worth making the effort to go see it as it is in an old building, no in the main down town of Nicosia so you need to have a car and its a little difficult to find. They have there own private collection which is nice.

We have visited this interesting and well organised museum a number of times to view its permanent collection of works by Greek, Cypriot and foreign artists as well as its temporary exhibitions. We also attended a classical music concert held there. We have on all occasions thoroughly enjoyed our visits.

Set in one of oldest suburbs of Nicosia, this is a family run museum concentrating in Cypriot Contemporary Art. Partly new building partly an older family building the architecture also provides a point for visiting. There also a shop where visitors can buy reproductions of various Museum items, as well as a small core shop to have coffe.

The x-mayor of Nicosia Mr. Zambelas and his wife made a great gallery with their private collection of paintings during the years passed. We knew about it when our 4years old grandson visited the gallery with his private-school. Small children admired the paintings and then they used the workshops for their own paintings. It was a great experience for him and... More

This place was a positive surprise to us, as we had never heard of it. The private initiative - in times of clear Cypriot stress - is very very laudable, and the collection, maybe surprising, is interesting and worth to see. Strongly recommend

We became dedicated "fans" of the museum after my children ages 5 and 10 attended an origami workshop with some friends. Since then we have visited on several occasions, sometimes taking part in the children and family activities/workshops, sometimes just to visit the exhibit and on Valentines to attend the opening of a specially themed exhibit and jazz night. We... More
