Arrived on a Tuesday afternoon after a long drive to find it closed. One of the staff told us and, after seeing the disappointment in our faces, made a couple of quick phone calls and asked us to wait 10 mins. After about 8 mins a woman came along and spoke to us in fluent English before opening up the museum and giving us a private tour of both the museum and the plant! The whole thing lasted about 90 mins and included a tasting of a selection of their beers and a hot pretzel. We could have stayed longer and drank a lot more of their amazing beers and non alcoholic versions, but time was pressing. Great tour and great hospitality.

If you are into beers and especially want to see a brewing process in Austria then you should certainly visit this Beermuseum (Braumuseum). You have to pay ca. 10 Euro for entrance and then you have the possibility to see the beer museum, learn about the process and even taste different beers.

The have a very interesting tour through the place, it lasts about 2 hours and you can also get to taste different kinds of their beers, they open only some months of the year, so if you want to go, check the dates.

If you're a beer fan, or enjoy seeing how things are made currently as well as how they were made 150+ years ago, this is worth the admission. We're not German speakers, but our had excellent English, and was very accommodating. She seemed to enjoy her job and was great at it. The beer tasting at the end was great, and even called a taxi for us when we were ready to go.

Excellent tour, clear explanation of the brewing process. Interesting museum what more can a beer lover ask for? Oh yes the samples were well worth waiting for. Anyone who enjoys good beer should try and join this brewery tour, it is an experience worth enjoying. My only complaint is that while I can enjoy their beer in Austria and also Australia (at the German Club, Brisbane) I can't get it in London!

Hallo.
Muss man sich da im vorhinein anmelden um das Braumuseum besichtigen zu können? Und wann sind die Öffnungszeiten des Museums?
