This sits right by the Mur river and you get a nice view over the town. There have been a couple of bars/restaurants over the years, one as good as the other. A good way to spend an hour.

From top of the "Schwammerlturm" you do not only have a perfect view over the whole town. The tower is also part of the former city walls and cultural heritage. But the absolut bonus ist the Café on top. The landlord brews beer on his own and you have to try his tower ale. Take some time to talk to him about the culture of drinking and you will leave hours later.

Historical place with very good beer from locals and the best view over the whole city. It is small but very nice to see the town from a higher level.

Located in the city centre, is a nice place in summer to have a beer with amazing views on the top of the tower. With a huge selection of beers is the best place to enjoy beers that you can't get easily anywhere. The owners take really care about the products they sell and about the customers. Smoking free bar, this is a plus! Highly recommended!

Beautiful tower in the middle of Leoben's old town. The Schwammerlturm is probably Leoben's main attraction and should definitely be visited.
