Somehow this busy shopping and tourist street manages to incorporate both old Tyrolean charm and modern mega stores. All the stores you expect to see on a busy shopping street and their bright lighting inside adorable Tyrolean charm.

To vizit and to spend few hours. A highly decorated street with many shops, many people with good quality shops and good restaurants. Basically it is the heart of the city and should be visited by any tourist who wants unforgettable memories in this city.

This is the place to go to buy quality Austrian made souvenirs. A small little shop packed with hand made items from all over Austria. You won't find made in China stuff here. Obviously the price reflects this, but then again why buy junk when you can buy things with meaning and soul.

Lovely cobbled street in the centre of the old town. There is a multitude of shops and restaurants which each have their own elegant and intricate guild signs that hang off the buildings all the way down the street adding to the charm of this narrow alley. There are a lot of passages off the street with more shops and... More

A name that is till now difficult to spell and pronounce but the images and sights of this most charmed alley street will keep coming back to your mind and heart. Wonderful memories indeed, for this charmed alley over a love bridge is indeed a not to be forgotten experience in Salzburg. For those musically blessed, you surely would be... More

One of the many streets in Salzburg which is beautiful to wander down. Cobbled streets, huge range of shops and many windows to browse. Beautiful iron work for many of the stores. Lovely.

You will love this pedestrian street. It is the Main Street you will automatically wind up on as you cross over the Makartsteg. Filled with shops of all culture, souvenir, local and otherwise. Mozart's birthplace is located here. It will eventually take you to Mozartplatz. He's, there is a McDonald's and Starbucks there, but it really is a street of... More

Walking down this narrow streets with its lovely shops and ornate signs gives you a real feel for the Old Town, before the latter hits you with its squares and churches. Lovely church of St.Blasius is at the end,

Getreidegasse is always a favourite in Salzburg. As a local I do most of my shopping here and always enjoy soaking in the bustling atmosphere. However, there has been a lot of construction going on recently, which is a bit annoying for tourists and locals alike. Hopefully it will finish soon.
