Felt a relief to find a place where we were the only non-locals! Good variety of drinks, and a lovely atmosphere. A couple of things to keep in mind; smoking inside allowed - tiny venue so a smog develops quickly, and we nearly got caught out by cash only payment.. but had just enough! Would go again.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about our experience at this wine bar since we came back to the US. Stepping in, you are immediately transported to a place where life is relaxed, beautiful, chic, and magical. The interior is cozy and feels artsy and is tastefully decorated. If you like wine, plan on coming here when he opens... More

As my wife and I were walking about Salzburg late one evening we heard some jazz...a mellow trumpet solo coming for Fridich's. Needless to say that was our invitation to go in. We were warmly greeted by the staff. This became our nightly ritual/destination very night. I am looking forward to a return to Salzburg so I can return to... More

With some of my friends we found this wine bar accidentally. It wasn't too crowded and people were friendly, it looked like everybody is a member of a big family. Good choice for a relaxing evening. The wines and most cheeses was amazing.

We had a lovely experience here. Doritt, our hostess, bartender, and waitress was warm and generous. She crafted a perfect Austrian wine bar experience. Small, quaint, and cozy. A great place to wind down after a day of site seeing. Located on a small medieval picturesque road.

We happened upon this place on our last evening in Salzburg. We heard Michael Feinstein crooning and had to follow the sound. It is a fabulous little Weinstube tucked into a barrel-vaulted space, with a great art deco aesthetic. The owner is a hoot, with a huge collection of vinyl and CDs covering several decades and every continent. Americans living... More

We walked this little back alley with the bars next to one another, this one is our favorite! Fridrich himself at the helm in this smokey smokey 15 chair bar. My Frank was able to light up his cigar while we drank Fridrichs recommended Austrian wine and enjoyed his creation of a plate of meats, olives and omg Austrian cheese!... More
