I am so glad I went up to the last station! The view on the Alps on one side and on Innsbruck on the other side are breathtaking. Even if you're in Innsbruck for just one day it's worth doing. Included in the Innsbruck Card.

Simply the greatest experience of my life. The journey begins with the cable-car/tram station at the town center and it takes you all the way to the top passing several stages. The view is AMAIZING

A great view from the top over Innsbruck. Warm and sunny the day we went, snow the next! Smooth journey but can be a bit claustrophobic when crowded

Firstly ... if you're only in town for a visit, get yourself an Innsbruck card and use that to access the Nordkette facilities. One trip up the Nordkette to the Hafelekar summit is included and that makes the card great value .... the rest of...More

The funicular railway train goes from Innsbruck's Old Town (Kongress station), across the river Inn and halfway up the mountain (Hungerburg station). You would have to change to a cable car (and pay extra) if you want to go all the way to the top....More
