EXPERIENCE HUNDERTWASSER UP CLOSE: Art - Achitecture - Nature - Vision Two intriguing museums experiences await the visitors at the KUNST HAUS WIEN. The Museum Hundertwasser presents the world's biggest collection of Austrian exceptional artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928 -2000): his world famous paintings, fine art prints, tapestries and architectural designs. Here you can immerse yourself in his imaginative world of art inside and out - colorful walls and uneven floors in the interior, the artistic façade with tiles and color fields on the outside. "Tree tenants" grow from the windows, plants and flowers inhabit the rooftop and inner courtyard. In Vienna's first "green museum" one can sense Hundertwasser's visionary mind and experience his ecological engagement on site. Beyond that the KUNST HAUS WIEN is Vienna's premier house for photography exhibitions: changing exhibitions introduce the biggest names of photography to a wide audience.

An amazing place. An unusual building by an artist with vision. Jump on tram 1 to Radetzkyplatz and you are there.

Really unique and interesting building, reminding me a bit of Gaudi's work in Barcelona. However, not really my cup of tea, mainly because it's somehow too random and without some simetry... But still very well worth checking out.

Worth the effort to visit this museum. Loved every bit of it. If you know of Hundertwasser or not, this artist has very original ideas and his creations are not only colourful but unique. Wish I had a few!

Hundertwasser was not only an exceptional architect but also a prolific painter and an avant-guard promoter of green environment. Don't miss your chance to get to know his works.

this is a place for you if you want to take photos of the most interesting looking building in vienna. It's easy to find and worth the visit. There's also a nice looking cafe inside.

Incredible shots of water by Burtynsky. The museum itself is interesting- not realistic for those who have trouble walking. ALL the flooring is uneven except the 4 flights of stairs. No elevator... If you don't know Hundertwasser, well, be ready for primitive art. If you...More

Not aware of the artist before hand, but now a new fan. Fantastic experience, beautiful building and cafe and truly inspiring quotes around the museum from Hundertwasser himself. Wonderful artwork and very interesting information. Highly recommend.

Family stopped by. You get a few pictures and move on. Interesting architecture but honestly I think more hype than anything.

Having never heard of Hunderwasser before this was a real eye opener. The building itself if very quirky but it was his philosophy which I was really impressed with. The museum includes lots of his artworks and while we visited there was also a photography...More
