Place is quite nice along the Donau Kanal. but Everything else is very bad: they don't have cocktails and beers are really bad tasting. Crew is aggressive and rude.

Yesterday I was enjoying my birthday with some friends and we decided to take a drink at the Adria along the canal that crosses the centre of Vienna. Yesterday a person that I can only assume was a manager with the most arrogant and annoyed facial expression you could immagine decided to enquire about how long we planned to occupy... More

There are now several "beaches" at the bank of the Danube and whereas Strandbar Herrman (on the opposite side) is the original beach bar with the best infrastructure and Tel Aviv Beach is arguably the coolest, with DJ and food by the Neni franchise, Adria is unpretentious and laid back and I like it for that. They will also (like... More

We went to the Boccia Bar, just down from here (although all part of the same development). A great place for a beer on a Saturday night, although the draft beer itself wasn't great. Nice to sit and people watch in a very relaxed atmosphere. Prices were good too and there was street food being served next door - excellent... More

We wanted to have a drink there, the server was so unfriendly that we decided to leave the restaurant! We only asked him to clean the table for us - I guess this should be basic service, even in a beach bar!

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
