This church is a masterpiece of architecture, it is really breathtaking. They do charge for tours, and are only open a few times a week - but in my opinion the best sights are all free from the outside anyway. The hills behind the church are fantastic to take walks on as well.

Absolutely worth a visit. Impressive architecture by Otto Wagner, just refurbished a short time ago. Very different from what you would expect a church to look like!

This church is one of the masterpieces of Viennese Jugendstil. Built by Otto Wager, the windows of Koloman Moser. It doesn’t get any better than this. Recently renovated to its original splendor, it is well worth the short trip from the city center. Please note, that the church is only open for a few hours during the weekend. Check for... More

This exquisite and extraordinary church, placed in the center of a former psychiatric hospital and center for pulmonology (built according to the plans of architect Otto Wagner and opened in 1907), is an absolute must for Jugendstil admirerers! Make sure you also attend the permanent memorial and exhibition to the History of Nazi-Medicine in Vienna, dedicated to the memory of... More

We caught the 48A bus from Dr Karl Renner Ring. It stops opposite the hospital gates, turn left as you enter and walk up the flight of steps to the church. The church is open Saturdays and Sundays 3-5; the first hour is a talk (lecture) in German and costs 8 euros. Our German wasn't really up to it and... More

What a find! Out of the centre and off the beaten track but stunningly beautiful and in a serene location. You can't help but marvel at this Art Nouveau masterpiece. However, save your legs by catching the 47A or 48A bus by from outside Ottakring station.

Otto Wagners church at the Otto Wagner Spitale in Steinhof is a gem of a building. Beautiful proportions, exquisite materials and careful restoration in recent years make this a must see for Architecture enthusiasts. It's a bit out of the way but totally within reach by ubahn and taxi and it's totally worth a visit to this masterpiece.

The church has a very interesting style of art and architecture. It has amazing acoustics and we were able to listen to performers perform here. I would recommend finding out if the church is open since it remains shut sometimes.
