The church has a very interesting style of art and architecture. It has amazing acoustics and we were able to listen to performers perform here. I would recommend finding out if the church is open since it remains shut sometimes.

It is a great looking and very impressive church. Unfortunately its not always open. Before you go there (you can use public transport) please check their website!

A very interesting church to visit - getting there you feel like you are in the country side. Not central but do go there

We were among the lucky people who get the chance to also use the acoustics of this building: We were performers in their concert series "Vocumenta", a series that takes place every summer and has a very high profile program. This may be one of the best ways to experience the uniqueness of this church - coming for one of... More

This is really a must see for anyone remotely interested in art and architecture! It's really one-of-a-kind place in beautiful park and it's worth the effort of getting there. If possible, try to go there on a sunny day, to see the stained glass windows it its full beauty

On a clear day you can see the golden roof from far away, but once you are there the experience is even nicer!

This church is based in an ancient sanatorium for mentally ill people and was as far as I remember built to help those people. Now what a luxury - this is a full blown Art Deco style church of the beginning 20th century and an architecture jewel. Not so much visited by tourists because it is a bit off the... More

This revolutionary church of Vienna bears a name for its location, "Steinhof," located on a high hill with spectacular views of the city , although in the past decade its i called increasingly the "Otto Wagner Kirche," a long-in-coming tribute to Vienna's architect/engineer who not only built this church for a mental/pulminory sanitorium in an area that was then outside... A wonderful secession masterpiece, light, airy, and uplifting. Highly recommended for architects and architecture buffs. Anyone else might be disappointed, because it is not a church, like other churches, you need to have these things under your skin in order to appreciate the charm and the novelty it posed more that 100 years ago. Note: This has always been the... More

If you are interested in the Art Nouveau or Jugendstiel architecture, you must go and see this. Aside from the style and stunning beauty, the history and background of the church is extraordinary. Try to get a knowledgeable tour guide to view not only the church but also the adjoining memorial gardens.
