A beautiful part of Vienna and lovely to have walked through to enjoy the architecture of many, many buildings around the vicinity. It's a very enjoyable place to walk through on the way to your favourite museum and art gallery

The mix of history and art in the Museum Quarter makes for a brilliant day out in Vienna. We skipped the modern art bit but the rest was just fantastic. Get the Vienna Card to facilitate entry and save some money.

This is a walkable, busy central area of Vienna which is home to so many wonderful museums, in unbelievably beautiful historical structures, with unmatchable collections. One could spend weeks exploring and enjoying. Of course, there are many restaurants and shops nearby to explore as well.

This is a lovely area of Vienna, with open spaces, statues, eating places and of course museums. Even if you don’t want to visit any of the museums themselves, it’s well worth a wander around the area to see the well kept gardens, the statues...More

Whether you are interested in art, history natural history or architecture, this set of museums has something for all visitors. Located just off the Ring boulevard at the edge of the old inner city, an easy walk from all the other cultural and historical attractions.

This area hosted what I thought wa sthe best Christmas market, not a sbusy as the one surrounding the Rathaus but friendlier and nicer stalls. The museums ate fascinating but fairly expensive unless you are planning a long visit.

Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries,
arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde
shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with
cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make
for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and
art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at
Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a
perfect hangout on a warm summer evening.

Yes! Free and beautiful. A fun place for a picnic. It would make sense to google if there is a Vienna card or some card that lowers the price of admissions. Some cities have that. I'm jealous you're going there. My absolute... More
