This museum contains a variety of classical instruments, from the renaissance to the 20th century. Some of the instruments were strange, such as a double-necked guitar and a violin with two sets of strings. The Neue Berg is also a beautiful building. However, in terms...More

Great museum of historical musical instruments, many pianos and piano type instruments but also much much more. Anybody who is interested in anything connected with music will enjoy. Most of the instruments are 19th and 20th century so some few hundred years old.

This museum perfectly fits to Vienna, City of Music. The collection of ancient musical instruments gathered here in about ten large rooms is amazing, even for those who - like me - are not music experts; indeed this museum allows an unparalleled opportunity to understand...More

There were lots of musical instruments on display with piano-like examples being the most popular. Additionally both Mozart and Beethoven, amongst others, get a mention. The Neue Berg museum was also shared with a display of armour - a strange juxtaposition. For me the only...More
