It is very impressive, as it would be as it was built by the Russians. Worth a look and it is along a good route between belvedere and karlskirche.
The platz is dominated by the Soviet War Memorial and fountain. The monument is very much in the Soviet style and commemorates the capture of the city in April 1945. The fountain is quite pretty as well. It's worth a quick look and walk around.
