The 21er Haus Museum is situated very close to the Belvedere one, so it's easy to reach it. Inside the museum there are lots of modern works and I think the exhibitions it hosts change every month. The two artists we saw were: Franz West and Daniel Richter. I believe that the works of F. West are more engaging, in... More

Me and my girlfriend went to the 21erhaus Museum the last weekend of February. The Museum is located nearby the Belvedere Palace so you should visit both once you're around there. Before going to the museum we had lunch at the good restaurant on the ground floor of the Museumc, called Twentyone Restaurant of Mr.Mathias Posch. We enjoyed very much... More

If you are really into contemporary/modern art, then this is THE place for you and you will not be disappointed. I have to confess that I was sometimes totally baffled by the exhibits but I put that down to my ignorance. It is definitely an experience and the restaurant there was pretty busy - a Sunday Brunch for €17 or... More

The gallery is located out of the beaten path of Vienna. It is part of the Belvedere 4 attractions combi ticket. Unless if you are really into modern art or have plenty of time to visit several places, it's not worthy it.

I attended the Ai Wei Wei exhibit at the 21er Haus museum. The very helpful woman at the admissions desk told me that for 18 Euros I could also gain admittance to the Belvedere which in addition to it's regular exhibits also hosted the second half of the Ai show. The Belvedere is a short, five minute walk away. Everyone on... More

We went for the Ai Wei Wei exhibit. It was absolutely spectacular and well curated. The upstairs area of contemporary art is equally well assembled and a great experience.

It is "classic" contemp :). You need to like the art to understand it. If you are into it, it is a pcae for you. As a bonus there is a great restaurant donstairs. Not a typical museum cafe, but just exremely good a real fusion treasure. I was even more impressed than about the museum. I had a brunch... More

Went here to see Ai WeiWei Exhibit. It is just a 5-min walk from the Hauphtbaunhof Oste Station, & right across the street via the D-Tram. Buses do go by there too, but I don't know the numbers. I just walked since my hotel The Schani was less than a mile away. The Ai WeiWei art was a little different... More

If you have visited the Belvedere and feel like a change of pace in the style of art you are seeing, then walk 5 minutes to the 21er Haus. They do need better signposting as it is not clear which building this is in. I had not got the combined ticket, but when I showed my Belvedere ticket I only... More
