The garden with a statue of Mozart is a very nice place to just relax on a weekend. Burggarten is situated behind the Oper ring strasse near Hofburg palace. While sightseeing was sat down and took a break here.

This is the park of the palace, that now it is a museum. Clean and tidy, as the entire city and with lots of people walking and having a good time. The first stop before entering the museum and getting to know a bit the Austrian culture.

We went for Mozart and on our way to the Schmetterlinghaus. It was so beautiful that we decided to have a picnic and just stay and read in the sun. Beautiful park very conveniently located.

This is a pleasant garden. A great place for a stroll, or somewhere to escape the busy city around you.

Nice small garden with big shaded grassy and bench areas. The butterfly sanctuary is also located here but we didnt go inside. There is a Mozart statue near the entrance where everyone stops by just to take a picture. The locals also seem to enjoy coming here - especially families with babies as it is shady and cool. That said,... More

Lovely to see people exercising and doing acrobatics. Beautiful Mozart statue with a charming clef symbol picked out with flowers, a calm spot near to the hustle and bustle of the Ringstrasse.

We visited this park after we have visited bigger gardens and parks in Vienna, so after seeing a lot bigger and nicer places, this place was just ok. I am sure that if we would of seen it in the beginning of our journey my opinion could of been slightly different. Still nice for a quick walk.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
