Peter will be your local guide in Vienna! Admire the charm of the imperial city with me and hear, not only the facts about the 640 year old regency of the Habsburgs`, but also humorous, erotic and unbelievable details about the lives of the empress and emperor. Smile about grotesque courtly customs and shudder over murders, unsolved deaths and other criminal tales. It would be my pleasure, as a state approved tour guide.

Peter was an amazing guide. We say things we wouldn't have even thought about on the tour and so glad we did. He was very informative, knowledgeable, and made us laugh on our 7 hour tour. I wouldn't hesitate to book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a private tour around Vienna.

We had a fabulous tour of Vienna with Peter. He picked us up in a beautiful van and showed us all the best sights of the city. He also gave us great tips of things to do during the rest of our stay. Would absolutely hire him again for another tour when we return. Worth every penny!

Peter was excellent - professional, informative, fun, thoughtful. My husband, Louis and I enjoyed the entire day on our private tour - one of our favorite days of our two week trip in Austria. What a gem!!!

I had just finished a cycling tour in the Czech Republic and Austria and the trip was concluding in Vienna. I only had a about a day and a half in Vienna before heading home and I wanted to see as much as I could in the short time I had so I decided to book a local guide. Based... More

We toured 3 cities on our recent European trip with 3 private guides. Although all were good, Peter was the BEST. He brought what could have been a boring subject (European royal history) to life with enthusiasm. He was knowledgeable, energetic and entertaining. We covered all the major sights in Vienna (group of 6 friends) on the 1st day and... More

We were a group of 3 couples traveling to Budapest, Prague, & Vienna and we had 2 full day tours with Peter, one of the best guides we have ever experienced! Peter is an amazing tour guide with an extensive knowledge of everything (history, architecture, art, music, food etc) in Vienna. He has a wonderful way of bringing history to... More

My parents and I had a private, 4 hour tour with Peter. He is unbelievable-professional, entertaining, knowledgable, and very fun! He arrived ten minutes early and the van was impeccable! Peter showed us Vienna's highlights. He is enthusiastic with his storytelling and history of Vienna! He is also flexible-when we wanted to stop at Hundertwasser Village-he stopped right away and... Peter was not available while we were to be in Vienna, so Bernd took over in his place. Bernd did a great job. My wife was put in a walking cast 10 days prior to arriving in Vienna, so that put a little damper on our normal 10+ miles of walking a day. Bernd made adjustments, and quickly adapted his... More

The four of us (all in our 60's) booked this tour online with Peter and we wanted and got an experience of a life-time! By luxury minivan, we travelled to Liechtenstein Palace & Vienna Woods, Seegrotte National monument in Hinterbruhl, Mayerling Hunting Lodge and the charming city of Baden. All done in about 5.5 hours. Peter is extremely knowledgeable, energetic... More

We took the full day city tour and the Danube Valley tour with Peter. Peter is a very experienced guide. Thoughtful, knowledgeable and funny, he immediately made my mother very comfortable. In fact, Peter could talk to anyone of any age group I believe. The city tour is helpful to orientate yourselves with the city. I would advise to have... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighbourhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
