Oh God, I have such mixed feelings about this. PROs:The concept is great and the whole place is very very well done. In fact, the whole tour, with the talking historical figures, the Viennese waltz, the flying horses and the war shelter, created such a great atmosphere that Time Travel can be an unforgettable experience not only for children, but... But it seemed a little dated to me. I liked the way you were sent around in groups of around 30 so as to fill the couple of theatres that showed things, but the dummies with revolving heads was a wee bit naff. All in all I am glad I went but wish they would update some bits

Definitely a must see attractions! So much better than I anticipated it was going to be. Fun, interactive, and educational! We thought about going back a second time. Free on the Vienna pass!

If you saw all Viena and you don't have nothing to do you should come to time travel. They tell you the history of Viena in a fun way. If you are under 26, is 17,50€ if not 19,50€

We saw it while we walked through one of the streets of Vienna and decided to go inside. It was very interesting and very musical and interactive. We went without children, however it is a good learning activity for kids. We learned a few interesting things and all was done in a very modern way. I definitely recommend to visit... More

This is a tour by a guide through an underground labyrinth with digital and immersive technology (eg sitting in moving seats with 3D glasses). It is a fun and alternative way to get an overview of VIenna's history and is very central and only takes an hour. That said, at 19 euros per adult it is quite expensive if you're... More

A small group from our tour visited one afternoon. The beginning is very intense - this is the interactive time travel that reminds me of some Disney rides. The rats were very spooky. Learning about the Habsburgs dynasty was very interesting - they had some real characters in the family. The girls really liked it the adults thought it was fun.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
