Amazing view on Vienna. 2 restaurants and 1 was closed so very long waiting time to get Your drinks or food. Came here by accicent because our bus had a technical problem but it was a nice place. Lots of people though.

That's the place to escape and get to the nature! Very easy ride by Subway and bus ( interesting to experience Austrian system) and you are on the hills! While riding by bus you can see very picturesque views and towns. So nice! There is...More

Easily accessible by bus from U-Bahn Heiligenstadt, or by bike and on foot if you are younger than I am (88). Splendid view of the city and the river from vantage points. Expensive cafés and cheap sausage stands

Stunning views of Vienna and beyond. Hard to capture on film though. Well worth a drive up to Vienna Woods to explore. Very touristy place.

It took us 45 minutes by metro and bus (38a from Heiligenstadt metro) but it was certainly worth our effort. Beautifull outlook over Vienna, nice terrasses to sit, relax and enjoy. Little (Polish?) church that you can visit. Nice trip for a good weather day...More

We went up by bus and spent some time overlooking the city of Vienna. It is worth a stop to take a look. Don't miss the church of St. Joseph. Worth a quick stop to take a look especially on a clear day.

Ride the number 38 bus up there, enjoy the spectacular view in a reclining chair with refreshments served by the restaurant!

Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most
romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its
many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby
Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls
through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of
a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are
Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns,
and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill –

No issue if you go by bus up to the hill. If you go by D Tram to the foot of the hill in Nussdorf, I recommend a stroller for the almost 300 highmeter up.

Yes and yes Angela, there are paths that interlink with the road on which the bus runs, so you could walk part of the way and ride if the rest if you want. It's wise to ride up, it's long way down to Grinzing again where you... More

The Kahlenberg is fairly flat at the top. The 38A bus goes there, you can pick it up at Grinzing, which is reached from the Schottentor by the 38 tram. Most tram routes now include low-floor trams, I am sure the tourist... More
