A very impressive building (especially the "old" part that survived WWII). The English speaking tour guide was very good and we learned a lot from him. The tour lasted about an hour and was well worth the 5 Euro entrance fee. There is so much to see in Vienna, but this was value for money.

The building is an impressive structure on it's exterior and is around other government buildings in a lovely location. The tour of Parliament is really interesting - you learn a lot about how the Austrian system of government works, while seeing the inside of a gorgeous and regal building

The tour of Parliament is really interesting - you learn a lot about how the Austrian system of government works, while seeing the inside of a gorgeous and regal building. Tours were offered in several languages (English, German, Spanish, Italian) when I was there, and they only cost 5€. It's a good attraction for families or people who are interested... More

very beautiful and has a classic vibe! a pride of vienna indeed! has wonderful ornaments and columns very greek inspired. amazing statue will captivate you from the entrance. A fountain gives an added beauty and of course i guess what mesmerize the place is the statue of Goddess Athena...

The guided tour is very nice. You learn a lot about the building and Austrian government. The tour also includes Palais Epstein. Go to that first, otherwise you have an hour to kill between the two tours.

WE didn't go in but wandered around the whole building...very impressive guys! It has the very imposing Pallas Athene statue at the front and that alone is impressive. The whole amazing design reminded us of the fantastic buildings we experienced in Athens and the facade resembles a Greek Temple. Superb...........

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
