We could not enjoy the grandeur of the building because they were preparing for a stage construction for some event. Having said that, the grounds in front and the City hall in itself is a beautiful place to spend some quality time.

Rathaus is seen from almost any point in Vienna. This is giant building, that shows masterpiece of architects. Rathaus is always beautiful - at daytime under the sun, when it rains and of course in the nighttime, when it is lit by powerful lamps. Most...More

This is an impressive building but a sit is still used for administrative purposes not much of it seems to be open to the public. There was a nice atmosphere at Christmas time with an indoor market of sorts on the graound floor

It is a beautiful building from the outside. We did not go in as a large area was cordoned off with construction fencing. Still, with all the construction work outside, it was still a very impressive building.
