What a huge building this is. The spires tower upwards. Easy to walk around and view. Unfortunately we ran out of time to enter.

Depending on when you visit, there are numerous events held in front of this iconic Vienna building. Recommend in the Christmas season for the Kristkndl markt, with plenty of booths featuring everything from great crafts and of course, the gluehwein, a slightly spicy (cloves) red...More
I love gothic architecture so may be biased but I loved visiting this building and they have free guided tours. Also, there was a vibrant film festival with food stands taking place outside which was good fun.
Most of the year the Rathausplatz is the centre of diverse events. Steirerdorf, Filmfest etc - there is always something to see there. Rest of the year it is one of the most beautiful houses of the world and next to Parliament, Votivkirche, Burgtheater etc
