From the outside the cathedral was lit up and looked attractive despite the building works surrounding it. It wasn’t obviously open but we saw some people leaving so went in ourselves. We took a little time to appreciate the interior and warm up before heading...More

Lovely little wooden church we came across during our tour of the city centre. There’s construction around the little church and we were unable to gain access into the church.

We attended a Christmas service in the Domkirke. The church is beautiful with an attractive interior, including a big pipe organ. The people were very welcoming. During the service the music by the choir, organ and trompet were highlights.

The cathedral in the center of the town. It was supposed to be one of the highlight sightseeing of the town. Sadly it's closed due to the construction / renovation during our visit.

The Tromso Cathedral was one of the best places that we visited in Tromso. I really appreciated the architect, but it was really small, so there was practically nothing inside to see.

It was a great shame that throughout the 5 days we were in Tromso, we were unable to gain access to this church at all. It should be open to the public at all times.

At present tourists cannot get close to the church due to reconstruction of the surrounding roads, but its a nice photo opportunity as its made entirely of wood and quite striking. The church appears closed at present and I tried to get access on all...More

had been visiting this church before. It is a very interesting construction made of wood. It is not that loaded like catholic curches are, since it is a protestant church. We were lucky to listen to a rehersal of organist, pianist and a singer for...More
