Worth a visit, beautiful church/cathedral. Set on high hill with lovely view over Tromso, mountains and the bridge.

Great cathedral but having paid it would have been nice to have some information leaflets or something provided

I popped in on a Sunday service and sat at the back for 10 minutes, so there was no charge. The building design is impressive from outside no matter what the angle of approach is. The stain glass window is beautiful and the rest of the church is pretty normal inside. I would say if you are short on money... More

The Midnight Concert at the Artic Cathedral should not be missed. The acoustics are fantastic and the tenor soloist singing in Norwegian and Sami is sublime

One can walk to the Catherdral acrossing the bridge, which is a nice experience. Simply put, it is one of the icons of Tromso, but I wouldn't pay to go inside..:-P

A cathedral with a different design. Worth the visit. Walk to the back to see the stain glass work. Note that there is a fee of 50 NOK to enter the cathedral.

A very nice church a about a kilometer outside Tromsø. Its building is fantastic and it can be viewed from the city of Tromsø. It is called the "Ishavskatedralen" in Norwegian that is in English can translated to "The Ice Lantic Cathedral".

The "cathedral" tag is technically a misnomer, as this is the local Tromsdalen church (the cathedral is in central Tromsø) - but nonetheless the architecture is very fine, especially when the triangular structure stands out in the polar night against the snow. The interior is simple and modern with a wall of stained glass behind the altar. It's not really... More

The cathedral is in a great position enabling it to be seen from the town and the fjord where MS Spitzbergen was moored. On the way North we saw it from a distance, but on the return trip there was a tour to the concert which was worth the money. There were 3 musicians - a soprano, an flautist playing... More
