This place was obviously designed by or in very close co-operation with someone who knows a thing or two about music production and the music industry. It doesn’t feel cheezy in a ”grandpa wants to be hip” manner, which museums like this sometimes can do....More

I loved this museum. There is so much to do, included many different opportunities to listen to all the music on your own and in the context of the museum's exhibit. Besides many videos throughout the displays, there are listening pods, album selection tables, and...More

So glad we visited. Interactive and very fun and entertaining. Note that the English tour does not run every day - we were told that it’s just available during peak tourist times. Nonetheless, most of the key information is in English and if you do...More

We visited Popsenteret with our two kids (15 and 13 and both into music, although different genres) and got there in time for the English intro (11am on the dot). The guide was so friendly and once the tour was over helped us out with...More

This was so much fun, you should definately visit. 2 adults and our 16 year old daughter went along with our Oslo cards (free entry but definitely would have been worth our entrance fee), and we truly had so much fun. The best bit: -...More

Some of the texts are only in Norwegian which is a shame but I had some fun playing around with different instruments. This place has some potential so I hope they will develop it further.More

Thanks for the visit and the review! Most of the texts and videos have an English translation or subtitles. Sorry to hear that you didn´t have the best time in our museum. We are continuously working on bettering the signage. Hopefully you´ll return to us...More

I really wanted to go to this place because I wanted to learn about Norwegian pop culture. I got there at 11:07, not knowing the only English tour for the day was at 11. My fault. I was fine with it because I hadn't intended...More

This design must be aimed at Norwegian travellers as there was very little English! We were warned before we paid our 100 krone admission, but since we knew there were interactive activities we thought we'd give it a go. The exhibits were also nice to...More

It feels like a pity to give these guys a 2-rating. This could *so* easily have been a 4 or 5 star rating. The facilities are excellent. There's plenty to see, and it's dark, futuristic and cool; well-suited to the theme. There's a lot to...More

This is a real gem of a museum. It's a bit off-the-beaten-track, but definitely worth seeking out for a fun couple of hours. I had a really enjoyable visit. The interactive displays are very cleverly designed and many of them link together, to allow you...More
