The Aker Brygge area is tremendous. It's a mixture of shops, restaurants, business and private accommodation on the waterfront. Apparently the area used to be part of a shipyard which ceased trading a few years ago and it is leading a regeneration of the area. The stores seemed fabulous a mix of chains and a few one offs, the restaurants... More

We went here in the evening, nice place, decorated for Christmas (in December). Some sculptures on the way. At day time it will be absolutely different but it is worth to come here at night too.

Lovely place to walk, dine, see people, take the kids, etc., all by the water, right overlooking the fjord. The views are gorgeous, and the bars and restaurants offer is one of the best and broadest in the city. Cannot be missed!

The harbour of Oslo is one of the most romantic place in Norway. There are quite a lot of cafeterias and restaurants, and the views to the fortress, the city hall and the fiord are wonderful, both in winter and summer. It's a must in Oslo.

Akers Brygge is a great place in the harbor. This was my first visit during the winter, few days before Christmas. A lot of people and a nice feeling, excellent view of the surroundings. A number of cafe's and good place for sitting down a long the walk. A playground for small children available (with high bars around it)

A really nice place to walk around. Since our first day was a fiasco trying to find the hop on hop off bus location (only to find out it doesn't run during winter time), we happened upon this area and it was quite nice. We walked all the way to the end where there is a museum and took some... More

There's lots to see, not just for Pokemon Go people ;-) The views are great but it's a tourist trap.

Walk by the sea, enjoy the view of the city and the fjords and the modern architecture around. There are nice restaurants and places to enjoy with nice food. A bit pricey, though.

Me and my boyfriend spent the afternoon here, taking in the views and then stopping for lunch and coffee. It's a really good spot to watch the sunset.

While it is a development seemingly created for tourists and the rich, the epically modern architecture looming over Oslo’s fjord is pretty spectacular. Here, you can walk along the water and over the bridges while you window-shop or simply take in the views. If you continue to walk all the way to the end, you will find a small “beach”... More
