Great unbeatable atmosphere. Super-nice staff. Excellent music. A feast for the eyes as the walls and ceilings are covered in crazy art. The owners are the coolest pair in town and they're often there so it feels like visiting a friend's house. The coffee needs some improvement though. The Cappuccino I order often comes bitter and barely drinkable but things... More

Bergen has its fair share of lovely coffee shops but if you want a bit of Bergenser quirkiness you must stop by BarBarista. The interior is a fabulous jolt to the senses... paintings on ceilings, mis matched furniture, dolls or all genres... and a great jukebox. The Elpeslang, an Apple and chilli concoction, is lovely and worth a try... Great... More

I found this cafe while wandering Bergen, and what a treat! It is decorated in a very fun and colorful way, had great food, and was just a nice place to relax after a long day of being a tourist. They had a relatively small but nice selection of food, plus coffee/hot drinks and a bar, so there is something... More

Great Interiors. This place definitely has a very interesting character. They have a unique and interesting collection of books. Not a great place for beer though. We were told that this place gets lively in the evenings. Sadly it doesn't. It's more of a place to laze around. We left disappointed as our expectations were different.

Cozy bar with a character. Try the apple hot drink. Waffles with brown cheese, jam and peanut butter are delicious.

BarBarista is my go-to place for the best atmosphere, the best chairs and sofas, the best decorations (they've basically got a bit of everything on the walls, hanging from the ceiling and just cluttered around the place) and of course, the best waffles in Bergen! They also do amazing Paninis if you are hungry, and they have a great selection... More

We were looking for a cafe a bit off the beaten path in Bergin for a late lunch and found this very unique and fun coffee/bar place. The coffee is great, the barista person is very friendly and speaks English. The food selection is a bit sparse but they make wonderful waffles and a vegetarian panini (great also). Lots of... More

We saw this bar on Saturday night but it was heaving and we really weren't too sure what to make of it, so we gave it a miss. You will have no idea what I mean by that but you will if you visit. We happened to be passing a lunchtime and thought we'd see exactly what it "was" so... More

We couldn't resist popping into this bar during the day for a sneaky drink. The staff were very friendly. The decor really was something else. Our favourite contribution was the landscape artwork that had been embellished with black marker pen. If we had had longer in the city we would have returned in the evening to experience the place at... More

We only came for coffee and it was good coffee. Looked like an interesting menu and I think it would be worth a punt for lunch, but we were passing through.
