Calm peaceful surroundings, Spending time amidst nature and a lot of calm. This is on offer when you decide to spend time at Hardanger Fjord. The more time you spend the more fun you have.

We crossed the fjord by ferry and enjoyed the dramatic cliffs, lovely scenery of small farms, communities and waterfalls.

Glorious when the sun comes out, moody and imposing when the dark clouds arrive. For the geographer...plenty of hanging valleys, truncated spurs and pretty waterside communities to enjoy.

I took the 3 hour fjord tour and it takes you to a village far from the main land. You can see the astonishing fjords in a clear weather. Do not go in rain as you will not be able to enjoy the best view...More

Amazing scenery. Spectacular, almost unbelievable landscapes! We booked the Norled tour out of Bergen. The bus takes you to Norheinsund where you catch a ferry to Eidfjord. It takes about 4 hours from Bergen to Eidfjord but there are breathtaking views the whole way. There...More

Lovely viewing from a cruise tour. Lots of small farms and towns. We were lucky to have a beautiful warm sunny day. No crowds sky scrapers or anything to ruin your view

Driving the National Routes of Norway is a series of one picture postcard scene after another. Hardanger Fjord is no exception

It is a wonderful experience to sail up the Hardanger Fjord and see the snow on the mountains and the water rushing down the mountainsides, to see all the little nooks and crannies of the fjord with rocks showing it is really an unbelievable sight

We are coming to Bergen in mid June. is it advisable to book a fiord tour in advance or will we be fine organising it once we get here? We are staying 3 nights (17-20)

Hi Angela! It would be better to book a fiord tour in advance! Check the possibilities in "Norway in a nutshell" and enjoy it!

To your knowledge is there a tour from Bergen to the fjord that would get me back to the ship in time? We are only in port from 8-5. Thank you for your help.

I am sorry but I don't really think so. A proper tour will take up most of the daylight hours.
