An amazing local history museum with an impressive interior display and plenty of outdoor departments to visit. Particularly recommend a trip to Hjertoya and to the Kurt Schwitters exhibition.

Set aside 2 hours to Feed the ducks while you see old buildings in beautiful surroundings. The new museum is an architectural masterpiece.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
As we are stopping here as part of a cruise, we wondered if it is easy enough to walk here? It looks as if it might be. We are not going on any of the trips, so will have a few hours. We are able to walk up to 3 kms and back quite comfortably.
