Well worth a visit even at a quiet time.

Apart from those in the café, we were the only ones in. We were told that we could go upstairs and wander at our will. What a spectacular place it is. Magnificent and futuristic.

As concert halls go, this modern, spacious building, with its comfortable seats, plush bars and excellent auditoriums, must be second to none. The acoustics were tremendous, the temperature and climate control spot on and the decor, stage and viewing of that stage perfect. If you get the chance, treat yourself to a concert experience in Stavanger!

This complex is breathtaking. There was no expense spared in the building of this magnificent amenity. The main concert hall was visually beautiful in every way, from the polished wood, the purple velvet seating with individual air conditioning to the modern organ behind the stage. Acoustic are superb too. The foyer and bar area is ideal for more informal concerts... More

Situated near the ocean ship terminal, not a brilliant looking building but interesting. There are no tours but in July there are very cheaply priced lunchtime concerts. We enjoyed working around the public areas inside, no restrictions, but could not view the theatres.

World class standard in Stavanger. This is really something Stavanger was missing. The city really deserved a place like this for the importance it represents

The koncerthus is a new and fabulous building only a few minutes walk around the harbour in Stavanger. Beautiful interior, great so e bar on the first floor and fantastic for music. We had side balcony seats which felt like we had our own box, I'd recommend sitting there to avoid the crowds. Fantastic venue.

The Stavangert Konserthus is a world class facility. The symphony or classical hall (Fartein Valen) has world class acoustics. I have attended several classical, jazz and acoustic concerts here. The qualitynofeverything is unmatched - including the seating. Don't choose the balcony if you have an option as the view is far better from the "circle" or ground floor seats. The... More

I had dinner at the restaurant on the ground floor. The salmon starter was fresh and tasty. Originally, the main course was lamb, but as I do not eat meat I was served a delicious fish dish. My dessert consisted of a fruit sorbet with fresh mango, also very good.

If you are visiting Stavanger, you must see the new seaside concert house. Even better, book a ticket there for a concert by the excellent Stavanger Symphony Orchestra in the Fartein Valen orchestra Hall. There is a second hall as well, where other types of music and shows may be enjoyed. And their restaurant Spiseriet next to the lobby has... More

It is worth going to any concert here to see the beautiful craftmanship and the wood used throughout the building. The seats in the auditorium and very comfortable. The sculptures in the building enhance the overall experience. Food for vegetarians could be better thought!
