On a warm summers evening, with the sun setting over a clear horizon, Sola baech is a memory to behold. On those days when the weather is normal, the walk is still pleasnat and refreshing. There will be kite and wind surfers skimming across the waves, and, if the need be, Sola Strand Hotel is there for a meal or... More

Beautiful sandy beach perfect for an afternoon walk. Most people are probably not aware of the fact that the Stavanger area have beaches like this normally found in Greece or Spain. Directly facing the North Sea so a bath will be refreshing to say the least..

There are two problems with Norway. The first are its prices of food - £28 for a pizza, £4.50 for a bag of crisps, £12 or a pint of beer etc and so on. The second is the weather. Generally so rubbish that Stavangerans advise you they only way to get a really reliable weather forecast is to open your... More

Great long beach to walk for hours on. Surfer's paradise and dog walkers' too. Check the forecast first it might blowing a hooley off the North Sea and there is nowhere to hide. It was the only attraction that didn't cost £47,000 to visit.

A great place for a walk - or in the Summer for time on the beach and a swim. Also good for a picnic or to run on the beach

Just to relax, go there and enjoy the waves smashing on the beach, stroll between old German fortifications and feel free.

Sola Strand Hotel are located on the Sola Strand, and are a 3 min taxi ride from the airport. The beach is perfect for running, walking, playing and surfing. And you can feel the power of the nature feeling the wind and waves hitting the beach. In the summer season there are a lot of activities such as windsurfing, kiting,... More

It's a beautiful beach, but it was quite windy when we were there. Would have been better on a nice warm day.
