Some beautifully hand crafted blackthorn sticks, clubs, walking sticks and even wands, Harry Potter style! Owners very friendly and knowledgable about history of the area and further afield which was patiently shared with us. A lovely shop to visit even for Irish people!

It was so refreshing that someone would open their shop and spend their time telling us all about shillelaghs and the blackthorn bush. Liam was so informative and passionate about his trade. Brilliant.

A very pleasant visit to compare shillalaghs and learn about their history and pronunciation. Liam, the owner, is a walking text book on the subject! Very nice of him to be so patient and friendly with us, without gaining a sale.

The Shillelagh was used as a weapon or club, also for good luck, hung over a doorway. Hope this helps
