Great food, amazing prices

It looks awful, it might put you off entering but please take the plunge. The food is served at a dozen or so different outlets...some savoury, some sweet, some just juices...fresh juices of every kind.

Make your choice, place your order and it’ll be brought straight to you freshly cooked. The chicken satay was fabulous and the prawn & noodles was sublime...and all for between 8-15 Ringgits.

We keep going back. I recommend it. Just across the road from Copthorne Orchid.

Local produce, local food at a night market
Aug 2019 • Couples
This market was very average especially that it only operates on Tuesday nights. You would expect more from a weekly market.

LOVED IT
Jun 2019 • Couples
we stayed in Penang for three weeks and went to the markets every Tuesday. we loved the freshness of the food , fruit and most of all veggies. it was vibrant , great smells from the hawker stalls and a Durian stall that sells the best Durians. we would spend hours walking around and people watching. we enjoyed the freshly cooked corn, Durian, mangosteens, rambutans, mangoes, guavas that we bought to take back to the hotel. not the Durian as we ate it at the market or they might kick us out of the hotel if we take it back. it smells a little:(

Good local food market Tuesday night only
Jul 2019 • Couples
Were recommended this market by people staying in our hotel. Small local market, chaotic car activity with queues on people arriving and trying to park.
Some good food stalls doing all sortsof snack food. We picked through several stalls for dinner. There are some other stalls selling normal tourist stuff but mainly aimed at cheap stuff for locals. We enjoyed it for the food. Only open Tuesday nights for the food, but evidently is a day market as well.

A good variety of hawker food
Dec 2018 • Friends
This market offers a wide variety of hawker food in addition to the traditional wet market stalls selling vegetables , meat , fish and other perishable food.

The place is crowded in the morning from 6 am to 10 am with people going there for marketing and breakfast. A good place to see locals in action if one has not been previously.

Wide range of goods and food. Night market on Tuesday evenings.

You can get any kind of produce you want in the mornings and early afternoons, from vegetables to dried goods. There's also a bustling food court that covers Indian, Chinese, and Malay cuisines at very low prices - they even have a couple of vegetarian stalls. On Tuesday evenings from 6-9 p.m. (ish), there's a night market where you can get traditional local foods (hawker fare) and some fancy Western desserts (waffles, ice cream). Of note is the nasi kerabu, which is difficult to find elsewhere and at a reasonable price. There are also a lot of toys, household wares, clothing and accessories for sale at the night market (they are a bit questionable in terms of quality, nothing artisanal or traditional). It's not a big market, but if you know what you're looking for, you can find some interesting things. There's limited parking so cars end up parking on the roads all around the area, creating a lot of chaos - highly recommend that you either walk there or take the bus.

Tg Bungah market
Nov 2018 • Family
This market is amazing as it has most of the items even though it’s a small market. There’s all kind of food available. There’s also dry and wet market as well. Parking is ok. It gets kind of busy about 9am so it’s better to come by earlier.
