Although the bay and its backdrop, the Promenade, are beautiful, and offer many delights, from Punch and Judy to the new lifeboat house, rib and other boat rides, the decision of the Council to remove the wooden groynes led to the disappearance of the sand...More

We were visiting Llandudno with the Grandchildren and, f course, we need to visit the beach! It's a bit rocky and so digging was a problem, even so it's a place you need to visit when you go to the seaside.

Having had the false impression that Llandudno was not a nice place to visit and having never been in the 40 years I had been visiting Wales we decided to give it a try last year. How wrong was I? This place is a gem,...More

Despite it being July, it was nice and quiet, not loads of people around. The seagulls were a pain. My advice is not to eat or drink anything as you're walking or paddling on the shore, as the seagulls will target you and aim to...More

Okay for small children to play and build sandcastles but older children and adults wanting to paddle or swim will find it very difficult to get to the waters edge. Could do with a good racking and clearing to make it more user friendly.

Great to walk to in an evening. We chatted to the Bin men and congratulated them on how clean and litter free the whole town was. I love Llandudno and see why people go back year after year. ( the beach by the Pier is...More

Hubby and I prefer to walk along the splendid Promenade than the beach because The North Shore has a limited area of sand and mainly consists of stones, rocks, pebbles and boulders. They are in the process of building a new lifeboat station at the...More

The beach near the pier rocky and stoney and not much sand and not the most attractive stretch of beach when the tide is out. However it does improve away from the pier in the direction of the Little Orme. Also near the pier are...More

Nice big beach however more stones and pebbles than sand. Very popular for walkers and joggers. Lots of seagulls.

You have two choice. You can either swim around the Orme which will take about 5 hours or you can walk up Gloddaeth Avenue which will take about 15 minutes. Either route is very nice!
